How do I find the current version of my software and product firmware?
iFLEX: For iFlex DSP products, connect your PC to the mixer, open the Sonata software, and use the Help > About pull-down menus to find the software version. Go the Connect screen in Sonata to find your mixer. You will see the serial number of the mixer and the firmware version number.
Instrumentation: The serial number for your IE-45 Input Module is on the module itself. The various IE-45 software applications each have their own version number, which can be found by opening the software and then using the INFO pull-down menu.
How do I calibrate my measurement instrument?
Initial calibration for our instruments is done at the factory. For your next calibration you have three choices:
a. You can send your instrument in for calibration. Information on associated costs, etc, can be found in the Customer Service area of this web page.
b. You can re-enter the Calibration Constant that came on the calibration certificate with your instrument. Instructions on how to do this are found in the manual for your instrument, available on the Support > Documentation page of this website.
c. You can manually calibrate using an approved calibrator. Instructions for this procedure are also found in the manual for your instrument.
How can I connect my computer to the mixer?
Connection of your mixer to your PC is dependent on the model, of vintage, of the mixer product. Instructions on how to do so are found the in the pertinent manuals for the various mixer and signal processor products. iFlex mixers all you to connect both via USB or EtherNet (TCP protocol). The manual covers details on the procedures for both.
How do I install the drivers for my mixer or my instrument?
iFlex mixers: When you install the Sonata software to be used with your iFlex products the necessary drivers are also installed on your PC. If you are connecting via USB from your PC to the mixer, you will see Windows USB connection dialog. Using the Windows dialog, point the software to C: > Program Files > Ivie Technologies > Sonata for the drivers.
IE-45 instruments: When first connecting your IE-45 Input Module to your PC or computing device, you will see a Windows USB dialog. Follow the instructions for either XP or Windows 7 in the documentation that comes with the Input Module (or can be found on this web page) in order learn how to do this. The instructions are specific to either Windows XP or Windows 7.

I set up training on Ivie products for my staff?
Training is available in several ways. You can some to us or we can come to you. Generally, when you come to us the costs are very low (your travel expenses, mainly). If we come to you, the expenses only entail our travel and logistics expenses. Some training can be done with web-based applications. Contact us and we’ll explore what might be best for your particular situation.
Can I get be notified when new software or firmware versions are released?
Yes. Please send an email to ivie@ivie.com with the subject line “updates.” Include your name, address, phone and email address in the body of the email, and tell us which of our products you’d like to keep updated on.
How can I trouble-shoot when my product is not passing audio?
There are several ways to approach trouble shooting this and other issues. All of them use the concept of “breaking the puzzle into its pieces.” There are some good trouble shooting ideas in the various manuals. Indicator lights on many of the product front panels are helpful. And we’re happy to work with you when you call our tech support people at our main number.
