Sampling/Memory
The
IE‑45 memory system provides all of the tools necessary to save various types
of files to memory, rename files, load files from memory, examine memory data,
and subtract one curve from another. Almost all memory system operations are
performed using the memory stylus buttons and "Memory" management
screen.

Memory Control Buttons
The
memory stylus buttons are located immediately below the RTA display screen. The
row of twelve buttons (R, A, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, PE) allows both control
of what is viewed on screen, and the ability to store data in
"Scratch" memories. The "R" toggles on or off the RTA
display. The "A" controls the display of the Average curve. Stylus
buttons 1‑9 alternately store, remove from display, and restore to display the
contents of the nine Scratch memories. The "PE" controls the
Preferred or "Target Curve" functions.
Stylus Button Colors
Tapping on any of
the twelve buttons (R, A, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, PE) more than once will
turn them either blue, green, or buff from their original red color. The color
red represents empty scratch pad memories; the color blue represents the most
recent Scratch pad memory used; the color green represents any Scratch pad
memory where data is stored (not empty) and IS displayed on screen; the buff
color represents Scratch pad memories where data is stored but IS NOT displayed
on screen. Any of the 9 Scratch pad memories as well as the "R",
"A", and "PE" follow this color scheme for easy visual
reference and organization. (Example: the example screen shot shows the Average
"A" button and numbers "5" through "PE" as red
because nothing has been stored in those Scratch bins. Buttons "1",
"2" and "4" have memories stored and are displayed on screen...
"4" is blue because it is the latest sample stored. The RTA
"R" button and "3" Scratch pad button are buff because they
are storing data but the data is not currently displayed on screen.)
Memory Management
Tap the
"Memory" stylus button to access the memory management screen which
allows you to store, load, and clear files from scratch memories.
